About us

We strongly believe that German research institutions have a huge potential to create world-class businesses - if things are set up the right way. TT49 provides venture capital to promising deep-tech startups originating from German research organizations.

Our small, fast-moving team consists of senior people with a profound experience in tech-transfer and entrepreneurship, having founded or managed spinoffs from Fraunhofer, Helmholtz and Max-Planck. With our investment, expertise and network, we help scientific founders to transform their research into meaningful and long-term profitable business models.

TT49 is run independently in a classical VC structure. We usually strive to be the first investor, actively working with the founders towards product-market-fit and follow-on financing.
